This page shows you "About us" & " Activities".
We are a volunteer tour guide group which is located in Sendai city, Miyagi prefecture.
"GOZAIN" means "You are welcome to visit us.” It's our Miyagi dialect.
We warmly share our hospitality and knowledge as guides. We use English to communicate with international visitors and residents. We are always willing to help you get the most out of your visit to the”City of Trees" Sendai and nearby Matsushima areas, regarded as one of the "Three Most Scenic Spots of Japan."
"GOZAIN" group is part of the Sendai Tourism Volunteer Guide Network, which is overseen by SenTIA (Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association ). It is also part of the International Activity Network of MIA (Miyagi International Association.)
We have continued the following "activities" in order to provide you best "hospitality” in English as volunteer tour guides.
disaster affected areas around Sendai and Matsushima.
Information desk of events
We provide guiding services at the information desk of the
Sendai Tanabata Festival Event Square and at the travel desk
of International Confereces held in Sendai and it's surrounding areas.
Once a month, we hold a cultural exchange meeting. We have invited foreign guests who are living in Japan. We have enjoyed discovering the differences from other countries, other cultures, etc. which enriches our knowledge about foreign countries and people. We have been communicating with many foreigners from many countries so far.
We study English for the purpose of improving our guiding abilities in our English study class. This class is held twice a month. We also have made guidebooks of the major tourist spots in Sendai and Matsushima. We use these guidebooks as a reference when guiding. And we practice on-site guiding study with these guidebooks.
We have enriched our quality of hospitality through the cooperation of other Japanese guide groups and international exchange groups. Our goal is to provide the best "hospitality" to international visitors and residents.
